About
Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God.
Both John the Baptist and Jesus Christ had their births
announced and their names given by an Angel before they were conceived. ( Luke
1:13 & Matt 1;21 )
John the Baptist testified that he heard a voice from
Heaven say; “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased” (Matt 3;17, Mark
1:11 and Luke 3:22.) Can you believe the testimony of John the Baptist?
Peter, James and John were present on the Mount when they
heard a voice from Heaven say; “ This is my beloved Son in whom I am well
pleased, hear ye Him”. ( Matt 17;5, Mark 9:7 and Luke 9;35). Can you believe the
testimony of these men, The Lord’s Apostles?
Peter testified that when they were on the Mount with
Jesus, they heard a voice from Heaven saying; “This is my beloved Son in whom I
am well pleased”. ( 2 Peter 1; 17-18) Can you believe the testimony of this man who the Lord
blessed and honored for his belief?
Don’t you think that God the Father speaking from Heaven in the
presence of witnesses, with Jesus standing among those witnesses, is proof
enough that Jesus and God are two different beings?
When Peter was present with Jesus and was asked about who
they believed He was, Peter spoke and said; “ You are the Christ, the Son of
the living God”. Jesus did not rebuke him, but said; “ my Father which is in
Heaven revealed that unto you”. (Matt 16; 16-17)
Just
a few more proving that Jesus Christ and God the Father were two different
persons.
In Luke 10:21, Jesus addressed the Father as Lord of Heaven and
earth, recognizing the Father as being God and having the supreme authority of
all things. Then in the 22nd verse, Jesus testifies that all that He has was given
to Him by the Father.
In Matt
20:23, when Jesus was asked for permission by two of his disciples to sit on
His right and left hand, He said that the Father God had retained the right
to make that choice, and it was not His (Jesus’) to bestow.
Then in
Mark 13:32, when asked about the time of His return and the end of the world,
Jesus said that only the Father God knew the time, and He had not given
it to the angels or to the Son.
Again in
John 5:19, Jesus said, concerning the miracles, that He could do nothing on His
own, only what the Father showed Him to do.
In John
6:44, Jesus said that no man could come to Him for salvation unless the Father
would draw him to seek Jesus. The Father God clearly must provide the
opportunity for man to be saved.
Then
concerning the coming of the Holy Spirit, which was promised by the Father
before Jesus ever came, Jesus said that the Father would send it to us
(Joel 2:28, John 14:26).
Once more
in Mark 10:18, when someone came to Him and addressed Him as “Good Master,” Jesus
made the statement that there was only one who was good, and that was God.
Some say that there is some scripture that
says God the Father and Jesus were the same person as follows;
John 10:30 I and my
Father are one.
John 14;9 He that has
seen me has seen the Father.
John 20:28 And Thomas
answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God.
These and other such
statements in scripture give way for incorrect interpretations.
Then there are other
false teachers that attempt to give their reasons how Jesus could be the Father
and the Son together at the same time.
Before you attempt to
interpret some of the scriptures to mean that Jesus is God the Father, you need
to disprove the validity of the scriptures I quoted above. But, why would you
want to do that? Don’t you have the desire to inherit eternal life?
Jesus said that God
gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe in Him would not
perish, but would inherit eternal life. If you don’t believe that Jesus was the
Son of God, but that God Himself came down to walk among us on this Earth, you
must not believe the scripture of John 3;16.
This belief and
teaching about the deity of Christ came about in 325AD when the Emperor
Constantine brought all the church leaders together to come to an agreement
about the deity of Christ. Some of them believed that Jesus Christ was God and
some didn’t. So Constantine forced them to stay together until all of them
agreed to the same thing and they did. They all finally agreed to Jesus Christ
being God and finally they could go home.
This teaching about
Jesus being God has spread down through the years through the Churches unto
this day against what was quoted in John 3;16 and could result in Heaven not being
in your future.
Your fate is in your
hands. It’s time to decide what you’re going to believe, is it bible scripture
or the incorrect interpretations of bible scripture coming across the pulpits
of your church.
Jesus said; “Whosoever therefore shall
confess me before men, them will I confess also before my Father which is in
heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, them will I also deny before my
Father which is in heaven. Matt 10:32-33
Jesus also said; “I am the way, the truth and the light.
No person can come unto the Father except by me. (John 14:6)
